Alfred hummed happily to himself as he grabbed his books and calculator from his locker. He shoved everything into his backpack and grabbed one last thing out of his locker before closing it and hurrying down the hallway. It was finally the end of the week and he and Arthur were going back to his place to hang out for the weekend.
“Hey Gil!” the American called to his friend as he passed him, “do you know where Iggy’s at?” Gilbert snorted as they both turned and walked backwards towards the opposite ends of the hallway.

I walked down the street, trying not to fall asleep as I trudged along through the thin snow. A long, hard day at work, coupled with my thin, freezing cold form wasn’t the best combination in the world. I’d stop eating as of late, partially out of unhappiness with my own looks, but also out of stress. My boss was killing me at work. I’d made it past irritable and was just dead tired now.
“Mattie,” I called as I walked into the house, “I’m home.” I heard pot and pans moving in the kitchen and knew the Canadian was cooking. I poked my head into the kitchen and smiled tiredly. &ld

I wobbled slighly, grabbing onto the railing around the walkway as a particularly large swell hit the side of the ship. Good thing I took my heels off, I thought as I continued towards the casino. I wasn't much for gambling, but there was a perfect little area across and off to the side that had the perfect place to watch the ocean water slap against the ship. I'd decided to go down there and relax a bit after supper. I was so glad to have been able to change out of my dress and into jeans and a long sleeve shirt.
It was the last night we were going to be on the ship. We were going to be docked tomorrow but we were going to be there later

“Chérie! Je suis à la maison! (I’m home!)” I looked up from my notebook and smiled as Francis walked into the living room. I looked him up and down, never resisting the urge to look at every inch of him. “‘Ello amour,” he said as he walked over to me. I stretched, letting my legs take up more of the couch where I was lounging.
“Hello dear,” I mumbled, yawning as he sat down beside me. He rested a hand on my slightly swollen stomach and kissed my cheek.

I groaned, leaning against the bar as I watched everyone rush outside to watch the fireworks that were booming and shimmering in the night sky. I turned as a bottle of beer was set down on the glass bar beside me. “It’s on the house,” the bartender said. I smiled gratefully and took a swig. The place was almost nearly empty for the moment.
I had never been one to celebrate the fourth. I was glad we had our independence and everything, but… eh, I don’t know. My family had never done while I was a kid and I hadn’t kept up anything as I gotten older and moved out on my own. It was just a lot

Matthew sat his bag down next to his chair, pulling out a small spiral ringed notepad as he sat down. He grabbed a freshly sharpened pencil and pen and flipped the notebook open to a new sheet. It was the first day of his live as a college student and he figured he might as well start it out with a doodle or two. As people slowly began filing into the classroom, Matthew was usually an early riser and had nothing better to do than get to class early, he had sketched a small picture of his pet polar bear.
He was so engrossed in shading the picture he almost didn’t notice the man that took a seat next to him. He glanced o

The small micronation tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable spot to sleep but failing. He sighed and flopped back into his pillows. Maybe he could go get Berwald and get him to read him a bedtime story. He contemplated the idea of going to get one of his parents, but stopped as he heard a light, soft tune playing outside his door.

The emptiness and solitude of the room was deafening. I could’ve sworn my ears were starting to ring as I listened to the constant beep by his bedside. Four years.
